Shared car lift
Pay for a seat, not the whole car. You join a run that already goes your way, get picked up from an agreed point, and the cost is split between everyone on board.

Shared car lift
A shared car lift is the cheapest honest way to commute between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The vehicle is going anyway, the seat next to you is going anyway, and splitting the road costs between four or seven people brings the daily figure down to something a salary can absorb.
The trade is a fixed departure time and a pickup point agreed in advance rather than your doorstep. In exchange you get the same driver most mornings, the same faces on board, and a commute that runs without you having to organise it.
What is included
- A seat in a sedan or a 7-seater
- Fixed morning departure and evening return
- An agreed pickup point close to you
- The same driver and the same regulars most days
- Fuel, Salik and parking inside the quoted price
- Daily, weekly or monthly plans
What the run is like
Three others in a sedan, up to six in a 7-seater. Which vehicle goes out depends on how many people are booked on that run for the day. You are told which one you are on before you start.
We agree it with you before your first trip, based on where you live and where the run already passes. It is usually a landmark or a junction near you rather than your door, because a shared car cannot detour to every address. Once it is set, it stays the same.
The morning departure is 05:45 from Dubai and the return leaves Abu Dhabi at 17:30. The road is 130 to 150 km each way. Those times are fixed, because everyone else on board has planned their day around them.
The driver will wait a short while and then go, because holding the car makes everyone else late. Message the driver as early as you can and, if the vehicle has already moved, we will try to agree a point further along the route where you can join.
On a monthly plan the seat is held for you and not resold. On weekly it is held for the week you have paid. If you are paying day by day it comes down to whether there is space in the vehicle that morning.
A cabin bag is fine. Anything larger should be mentioned when you book so we can put you in a vehicle with the room for it, since boot space is shared with everyone else on board.
